Working to Engineers instructions, you will carry out research and development on new and current engines such as: performance, durability, emissions and noise. Also fitting trial parts to engines and recording and producing data as per instructions.
This key role is to produce quality data.
Candidates need City & Guilds/Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Mechanics, an apprenticeship served in motor mechanics or equivlalent qualifications.
Engine test rig experience would be an advantage.
Mechanical/electrical expereince on diesel engines, such as stripping and rebuilding.
An undertanding of the common rail fuel system. P.C skills are also required.
You need to be flexible and self motivated, a team player but also able to work on your own initiative.
