The CompanyRobert Half Finance & Accounting seeks to recruit a commercially aware accountant, on behalf of a reputable organisation, with a strong European presence.The RoleThe purpose of the role will be to improve financial controls and implement standardised analysis and reporting on the impact of the Company's purchasing strategies. You will manage the accounting and invoicing process for all elements of the annual supplier rebate agreements across Europe, both for European and local suppliers. You will be responsible for ensuring that rebates are correctly accrued in the financial ledgers; that invoices are sent to suppliers on time and that cash is collected promptly. In addition, you will develop and maintain financial models to assist the European Purchasing team to make sourcing decisions for niche brand products and other branded products imported from outside Europe. The ideal candidate will be a commercially aware and experienced Accountant, who is ACA, ACCA or ACMA qualified, part-qualified or Qualified by experience (QBE). You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, to build strong working relationships across all areas of the business. In addition to technical ability, you will have an analytical and investigative personality, with the confidence and ability to challenge information. Strong systems & spreadsheet skills are essential to the success of this role.Salary & Benefits£30,000 to £35,000
