Career progression is important to members of the Royal Society of Chemistry. And when they look for information and guidance on the breadth of opportunities available, their own professional body is the logical place to turn. That’s why we invest heavily in our advice service – producing relevant written information, as well as organising interactive workshops and one-to-one careers support.
We’re currently looking for a graduate or equivalent who can offer advice in person, over the phone and by email, while also updating our guidance materials and assisting with careers-related events. It’s important you can keep up to date with all the relevant welfare and legislative changes and have the confidence to make presentations to large groups. There’s also plenty of opportunity for overnight travel within the UK representing the RSC and to develop professional relationships with members and prospective members.
If you need training in this field, that isn’t a problem, although we’re also happy to consider applications from people who already have a recognised careers qualification and technical or specialist knowledge of the chemical sciences.
Excellent benefits include 26 days holiday, pension scheme, free life assurance and private health care. For further information about the RSC, the roles and how to apply, please visit www.rsc.org/jobs
